What the heck? Let me break up the word: Mal = bad or badly, Apert = open, honest, Put them both together you get “malapert” = a bold or impudent person.
In other words someone who is “open” or “honest” in a bad way.
Do you know anyone that is like that? If you said no, then I think you better recheck your family, friends, neighbors, work place. Still no, wake up! Smell the coffee! Smell the roses! Come on now, recheck!! Recheck!!! I know you can do it!!!! Oh My Gosh!! Am I being “malapert” in my writing today??
Have a great day! Hope Clip Art from Bing.com Malapart word from M-W’s Word of the Day Malapart definition from Merriam-Webster Dictionary.com

What is National Teal Talk Day?Teal the color? A dark bluish green to greenish blue.Small babbling ducks?
National Teal Talk Day is about: Over 249,000 women are diagnosed annually with ovarian cancer, worldwide. Gather your friends, wear teal for a day out together and talk.
Join a group of co-workers for lunch. Men are welcome, also. They have mothers, wives, daughters and sisters at risk for ovarian cancer. They should have the Teal Talk, too! There is no standard screening for ovarian cancer. In absence of a test, awareness is best. In the hour it might take to have the Teal Talk during lunch, approximately 28 women would have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Invite your closest friends, neighbors and sisters for drinks in the back yard. Wear your favorite teal and give the Teal Talk. Go for a walk with your mom and her friends. Even if it’s a short one it will be long enough for a Teal Talk. For more information go to – National Teal Talk Day Calendar site.
HOW TO OBSERVE Find out more information at Ovarcome.org and have the Teal Talk with the people in your lives. Use #TealTalkDay to share on social media. It’s simple to get started. Have you ever wondered what “A La Carte” means? It took me awhile of the true meaning before the light bulb went on for me. It’s not the way a food is cooked. It’s not the way a food is served. It’s not a specific menu of special foods.
Some people don’t realize until they get the bill and go WOW at the total. It’s the way items are priced individually. It’s not only the food it is also the drinks you are having.
So if you think you are getting a deal because the price of each item looks cheaper, in the long run your total bill could be higher than if you ordered a complete meal.
Depending on the restaurant “A La Carte” may work out better for some if you don’t want certain foods that come with a complete meal. Now if you can substitute what you don’t want with something you prefer than stick with the complete meal.
The main think to me is to enjoy your food with family and friends.
