Dumbledore

Hi Everyone!

Dumbledore – did you know the dumbledore proper is Emerson’s “burly dozing humblebee”? aka “The Humble Bee” In American prose always a “bumblebee”.

Word origin – old English dumble, variant of drumble to move sluggishly + dor humming insect. (drumble-drone)

Here’s my favorite “Dumbledore”.
In case you don’t know this is a picture of Albus Dumbledore of Harry Potter’s movies. On his shoulder is Fawkes, Dumbledore’s faithful feathered friend.
