February 15, 2017 was a sad day for me and my son.
Our girl Ginger “Mae” passed away. Tears are welling up in my eyes as I type this. She was such a joy.
Who was Ginger “Mae”? She was a very talkative calico cat. And I do mean talkative. She was a true “diva”.
When I would come home she would be running right to me, say “okay let’s go” and would start walking down the hallway.
Then there were days I would be leaving for an appointment and she would be right by the door, saying hurry, hurry, I’m ready for my walk. Her tone was unbelievable. She would look out the door, then look at me, then would say it’s time to walk me down the hallway. Move it! Move it! Move it! So off we would go. Then she would hear something and all of a sudden she was racing back to our place, turning her head to make sure I was right behind her.
When my son came home from work, she heard his key, her ears would perk up, she went flying off the bed, stop in front of him and she would start talking to him – “what took you so long to get home?”
Her looks would make you laugh, cry, smile.
Everyone was in tears that day at her doctors office.
Fresh air on the balcony!
Really aren’t you done taking pictures?
Thank you everyone for all your love, thoughts, prayers. The caring moments you sent to Tom and I will always be remembered.
Criticize – have you ever been a critic of movies, art, theater, fashion designs?
Have people agreed with you or have they “criticized” YOU?
Do you like being criticized?
When you criticize others do you do it with respect?
Do you criticize them to the point of embarrassment?
Have you ever been embarrassed when someone pulled you aside, yelled, screamed at the horrible comments you made about their work?
There is a technique to how you criticize someone. It’s called finesse. Finesse makes all the difference in the world to people. Finesse is an art. It takes time, patience, resourcefulness, savvy and shrewdness. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to finesse.
Today is 2/8/2017 – can you believe it? Just six (6) days and Valentine’s Day will be here. So many couples will ask each other to get married. Pull out the “lovingly” ring to put on their surprised partner.
Then it will be time to start preparing for the “lovingly” ceremony, dinner, etc.
What a loving couple. They still hold hands as they walk down the road. The reason they hold hands is to generate the love they have for each other.
It’s important when your child is born and for all the years they grow up you hold their hand. Of course when they get older you don’t want to embarrass them so you “grab” they hand with a strange hand shake. And just that little bit will generate love.
Have you every watched our neighbor talked to all his plants and trees with so much passion. He sure has a beautiful and colorful garden.
She shows so much loving to each of her animals.
Me: He has such a loving passion for writing, he never stops. You would think his eyes and fingers would get tired.
My friend: Didn’t you ever notice that he’s talking into a microphone?
My friend: Well that microphone is hooked up to his computer and all his lovely words are typed for him. That’s technology.
Do you ever feel like you are overwhelmed with paper at work?
There are days when I listen to the news it’s so overwhelming with shootings, robberies, car crashes , smash and grabs, etc.
I love the days when the weather is sunny, windy, mild temperature, it’s so overwhelming to see everyone you walk by with big smiles on their faces. Everyone feels “spring” is almost here.
And then there are days that are the opposite and you feel overwhelmed with sadness , depression, people walking around with fronds, “winter” is back.
TOP! And smell the roses – but watch out for the bees!
TOP! And see the world thru the eyes of a child. Are you in aw? What do you feel? Maybe a big smile on your face? Others may think you are “bonkers”! That’s okay, they don’t know your secret of the smile on your face.
TOP! Say thank you to someone who helps you, even if you don’t know them!
TOP! Say your welcome, when someone says thank you for helping them out!
Why? Why? Why? Do you keep on tempting me you know I can’t resist you!!!!
My friend: Wow! What is your mom cooking? I can’t resist! I can’t resist! I’m going to ask your mom for a bowl, plate, or cup of what she is cooking.
Me: My mom is cooking steak & kidneys (includes onions, carrots, beef stock, salt & pepper, flour, butter, vegetable oil) for steak & kidney pie. She is surrounded by our dogs and cat. Do you want some pie?
Steak & Kidney Pie
My friend: I don’t think so, now that I know what your mom is cooking.
It’s February, 2017 and on the 28th day the last day of “Mardi Gras”
or like me many of us call it “Fat Tuesday” or
“Paczki Day”! There is no way anyone can resist these tempting treats.
No one can resist them. YUM! Depending on the bakery here there are multiple flavors and every bakery will have they special flavors. Some are 3 inches high with different fruits, custard, cream – to die for.
OM Gosh! My hips just got wider writing about them.
Write it on your calendar now! 2/28/17. I’m telling you – you will not be able to RESIST these treats!
